Gordon Carver began his law practice with the Houston firm of Wycoff, Russell, Dunn & Frazier in 1983 as an associate. In 1988 Mr. Carver was made a shareholder of Dunn, Kacal, Adams, Livingston, Pappas & Law, P.C. He remained as a shareholder until 2008, when he joined WTFC as Of Counsel. His practice focuses on the representation of healthcare providers, including individual physicians and nurses, blood centers, hospitals and specialty surgery centers, and the representation of companies in various commercial disputes and catastrophic injury cases. Gordon Carver is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law and has been named as a Texas "Super Lawyer" in Medical Malpractice Defense by Thomson Reuters (published in Texas Monthly).

Mr. Carver is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Texas Supreme Court and the Texas Bar.

  • Represented large oil and gas company in defeating indemnity claim by operating company for contribution to settlement of catastrophic injury claim
  • Responsible for drafting contract language for multinational fuels company providing indemnity from subcontractors thus reducing litigation costs dramatically
  • Represented multinational polymers, chemicals and fuels company in settlement of environmental suit involving 100 plus plaintiffs
  • Represented multinational polymers, chemicals and fuels company in case involving alleged toxic exposure during plant renovation and turnaround

Mr. Carver lectures in continuing legal and medical education forums and provides corporate and institutional clients with updates on applicable law and recommendations for improved safety and claim avoidance. Topics have included risk reduction and management techniques, deposition strategy and performance improvement, policy and procedure protocol changes necessitated by changes in the law, and "post mortem" recommendations for future claim reduction and/or avoidance.
